A three-quarter-inch thick steel embed plate centers on a column centerline with a minimum one-foot extension on each side. Two three-quarter-inch by six-inch by two-foot side plates weld to the main plate with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. Four number eight A706 Grade 80 reinforcing bars anchor the assembly symmetrically about the column centerline. A one-half-inch fillet weld secures the side plates to the embed plate.
