A wood post bears directly on a concrete slab and is secured with a Simpson PB or CB post base bracket, or alternatively a Simpson AB anchor with an epoxy anchor having four inches of embedment. The concrete assembly consists of a slab and stem wall reinforced with two continuous number four rebars at the top and bottom, with three inches of concrete clearance maintained at the bottom. Sizing and layout for the concrete slab, stem wall, and wood post are referenced per the foundation plan.
