A one-half-inch by eight-inch by twelve-inch steel plate is embedded at the edge of the concrete slab to anchor a guide rail splice. Two three-quarter-inch studs welded to the plate provide anchorage into the concrete at six inches on center. This connection detail is applied typically at slab edges where guide rail splices occur.
