Pipes, conduits, and sleeves pass through reinforced concrete slabs and walls while maintaining structural integrity through strict spacing and sizing limits. Maximum sleeve diameter is limited to one-third of the total thickness or two inches, whichever is smaller. Clear distance between adjacent sleeves must be at least three times the sleeve diameter or four inches minimum. Areas where required clear distance between sleeves is impossible must be treated as a structural opening and reinforced accordingly.
