This one-hour rated exterior wall assembly consists of cold-formed metal framing faced on the interior with five-eighths inch gypsum wall board and on the exterior with five-eighths inch gypsum sheathing. A fluid-applied air and weather resistive barrier is applied over the exterior sheathing, followed by an adhesive and drainage plane layer. Mineral wool board insulation is secured to the exterior using thermally improved insulation board fasteners. The exterior finish comprises an exterior insulation and finish system base coat and finish coat, incorporating a control joint.
