This assembly features a concrete blockout cast separately from the main slab-on-grade to accommodate a lateral brace. The perimeter of the brace is isolated from the surrounding concrete by a three-eighths inch expansion joint material. An additional one-half inch expansion joint material is provided within the blockout assembly. The blockout maintains a minimum length of six inches as indicated.
