Gusset plates connect buckling-restrained braces to a steel floor beam using multiple bolts, transferring lateral loads into the framing. Stiffener plates measuring three-quarters by three inches, or full-depth connection plates, are provided on both sides of the web as required by the brace manufacturer. Welds sized at five-sixteenths of an inch are specified at the connection interfaces.
