A slotted gusset plate passes through the hollow structural section column sized per plan, connecting to a drag strut knife plate eight millimeters thick. The assembly supports a cross-laminated timber deck and a drag strut plate measuring eight by one hundred millimeters wide. Connection hardware includes two rows of ten-millimeter diameter assembly screws, fourteen millimeters long, spaced at three hundred millimeters on center into pre-drilled holes.
