A built-up tee connection frames into a hollow structural section column at corners and three-sided conditions. The column centerline aligns with the girder centerline, and the member edge is flush with the face of the column. Shear plates are provided per schedule A with a typical thickness, and the flange plate thickness is specified to be twice the shear plate thickness.
