Cold-formed steel stud walls are laterally braced using 150U50-54 bridging channels installed horizontally at four-foot maximum vertical intervals. A 16-gauge bridge clip measuring one and a half by one and a half inches connects the channel to the stud web. The clip is secured with 16-gauge welds on both sides.
