An HSS post supports an HSS beam carrying a metal deck and steel channel perimeter framing. A one-inch thick plate is aligned with each HSS beam at the connection point. The HSS post bears onto a concrete foundation wall or footing below. Teks screws secure the roof metal deck according to the framing plan notes. A minimum four-foot clearance is specified, to be verified with architectural drawings.
