A reinforced concrete interior grade beam connects to a concrete slab on grade. A continuous keyway with a waterstop is formed between the footing and slab interface. Slab dowels match the size, grade, and spacing of the main slab reinforcing. Insulation is placed along the exterior face of the assembly. The face of the grade beam and slab aligns with the curtain wall or cladding located per the architectural drawings.
