A custom steel saddle connection ties timber girders and top chords to a central column, featuring a work point centered on the face of the column. The timber top chords are notched to accommodate a tension rod bearing plate, aligning with the centerline of the QPT tension rod. A cross-laminated timber reference plan is established at the typical floor level. The grid line intersects at the center of the column assembly.
