A steel beam connects to a perpendicular steel column via a half-inch knife plate welded with quarter-inch fillets, referenced to sheet S5.01. A collector plate ties into the top of the column and is referenced to sheet S5.02. A second steel beam frames into the opposite side of the column with a bolted connection and a quarter-inch fillet weld.
