A wind girt frames into a buckling-restrained braced frame column with a three-eighths-inch top and bottom plate extending to the inside of the column flanges, welded with one-quarter-inch fillet welds near side and far side. A column web extended shear plate connection provides web attachment, with the beam top flange coped as required maintaining a one-and-one-half-inch minimum clearance. Continuity plates are installed per the buckling-restrained brace manufacturer requirements.
