An angle brace connects to the web of a steel beam supporting a concrete slab over a metal deck or roof deck. A plate measuring one-quarter inch by five inches by five inches welds to each brace with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. A continuous mesh support bar reinforces the concrete slab over the metal deck alongside shear studs sized per plan. The brace member consists of an L4x4x1/4 angle attached to the beam web.
