A structural detail of a beam-to-column web connection frames beams of different depths into a common column. The shear tab thickness is specified as the beam web thickness plus one-quarter inch, with bolt sizes and counts determined per the schedule and plan. Top and bottom beam flanges are connected using continuity plates welded to the column flanges. A second row of bolts is included as required per the structural plans. Edge distances and bolt spacings conform to AISC specifications, and continuity plates are omitted on one side if the spacing is less than three inches.
