All slab openings with a dimension of twenty-four inches or greater are trimmed with reinforcing bars placed around the perimeter and diagonal bars at each corner. The perimeter requires number four bars centered on all sides with a typical two-inch clear spacing. Each corner receives a number four by forty-eight-inch diagonal bar, centered in place. This reinforcing is in addition to any reinforcing indicated on the plans.
