A structural buckling-restrained braced frame gusset plate connection is integrated with a cross-laminated timber deck and a wide-flange column. A one-quarter-inch bent plate is positioned below the cross-laminated timber deck typical condition, alongside a continuous one-quarter-inch plate recessed into the bottom of the timber deck for the full length of the gusset plate. Section A-A details the framing transition with a cold-formed metal framing wall anchored by SDS25400 screws at six inches on center with a minimum five-and-one-half-inch dimension. Section B-B details the cross-laminated timber deck bearing condition on the wide-flange steel beam with a continuity plate referenced from the braced frame details.
