A steel beam frames into a column using a 1/2-inch by 6-inch by 11-inch steel girder seat reinforced with two 1/2-inch by 6-inch by 8-inch steel stiffener plates. The connection is secured with two 3/4-inch diameter A325-N bolts on the beam gauge. A 3/4-inch by 6-inch by 6-inch stabilizer plate is provided at the girders, with a note specifying that bottom chords are left unwelded to the stabilizer plate unless noted otherwise. A 5/16-inch fillet weld joins the assembly components.
