This structural detail shows a reinforced concrete slab on grade with an edge thickening and an integral curb. The slab rests on a ten-mil vapor barrier and a four-inch minimum gravel course over prepared subgrade. Slab reinforcement consists of number four bars at fifteen inches on center each way, supported on precast concrete blocks spaced at four feet on center each way. The thickened slab edge incorporates a twelve-inch wide footing with a three-inch clear bottom cover and a six-inch dimension above finish grade or paving. The curb detail includes one continuous number three bar and number four bars at eighteen inches on center.
