A hollow structural section member per plan connects to a precast concrete wall panel via a one-half inch by eight-inch by one-foot two-inch steel plate. The embedded plate is secured with four number six bent anchors at the top and bottom, totaling two anchors per location, joined with a full penetration weld to the plate. A quarter-inch typical fillet weld connects the hollow structural section to the plate assembly. Wire mesh is tack-welded to the steel and the void is filled with non-shrink grout after welding. A recess occurs where specified per the panel elevation.
