A cross-laminated timber deck bears directly on a glulam beam sized per plan, with the beam notched at the bearing connection. A concealed knife plate is inserted into the glulam member and secured with through-bolts. The CLT deck is fastened from above using Simpson SDCP timber boundary screws measuring 0.315 by 11 inches.
