A concrete mat footing transitions at a step adjacent to a two-and-a-half-inch rat slab. The stepped rat slab extends with a four-inch typical thickness before stepping down two feet typical, positioned ten feet from the edge of the mat. Reinforcing is provided throughout the rat slab and mat footing as sized per plan.
