A one-inch diameter hole is drilled at each corner of the new opening through the existing wall prior to sawcutting. The lead edge of the saw blade must stop at this hole to prevent overcutting the corner. Remaining existing wall material or grout is chipped out as required along the line of the saw blade cut.
