A buckling-restrained braced frame brace connection frames directly into a column web. Plates are provided on both sides of the web matching the column web thickness with a one-half inch minimum. The gusset plate assembly aligns with the work point of the brace and buckling-restrained frame beam. Three-eighths inch fillet welds are specified typically on three sides for the connection elements.
