A concrete slab edge connects to a masonry wall featuring a bond beam using a bent plate and structural steel angle. The assembly is anchored to the underside of the concrete slab with two half-inch diameter expansion anchors with three and a quarter inch embedment spaced at one foot on center. A four-inch minimum bond beam supports an L4x3x5/16 by nine-inch long angle, welded to the bent plate with three-sixteenth-inch fillet welds at each end. A typical top-of-wall gap is maintained between the slab and masonry, and notes permit an alternate flat plate with two welded angles.
