A W16x50 beam connects to a hollow structural section column via a built-up beam stub, detailed per sheet 2/S522. The beam is offset 1'-6" from the column face and secured with a four-bolt connection. A 1/4-inch fillet weld is specified for the beam-to-stub connection. A buckling restrained brace and gusset plate assembly is attached to the column, with plate specifications provided by the buckling restrained brace manufacturer. Top of steel elevations for the beams are determined per the elevation drawings.
