Four stirrup configurations illustrate standard detailing requirements for concrete beams and collector elements. Configurations 1 and 2 utilize 135-degree seismic hooks and are acceptable throughout unless noted otherwise. Configurations 3 and 4 are prohibited for collector elements such as drag beams, struts, and other collectors. Configuration 4 shows a 90-degree hook adjacent to a slab edge and step in slab where applicable.
