A wide flange steel collector connects through a continuous wide flange girder using a pair of half-inch by four-inch by one-foot-three-inch collector plates welded to the web. Two one-and-one-quarter-inch diameter A490X fully pretensioned bolts with standard washers secure each side of the connection. The plates measure one foot three inches in height with a five-and-three-eighths-inch bolt spacing. A quarter-inch fillet weld joins the components with a one-inch maximum typical gap.
