Cold-formed steel stud webs feature allowable factory punchouts and field-cut holes with specified dimensional limits and edge distances. Factory punchouts are limited in dimension with maximum heights and widths, maintaining minimum end distances and center-to-center spacing along the stud web. Where penetrations exceed allowable limits, reinforcing plates are installed to upgrade the web per structural drawings.
