Reinforcement around a concrete wall opening consists of two number five bars placed diagonally at each corner, supplemented by continuous perimeter bars. One number five by four foot bar is placed on each face at each corner unless noted otherwise. A one inch clearance is maintained around the opening unless noted otherwise. Continuous horizontal bars run below the opening with additional number five bars framing the bottom.
