This assembly connects two steel beams to a central wide-flange column at a grid line. Each beam is secured to the column web using a 3/8-inch thick plate or a WT4x10.5 structural tee, which acts as a shear tab. The connection is fastened with five 3/4-inch diameter bolts on each side, spaced at 3 inches typical. The structural tee or plate is fillet welded to the column web with 1/4-inch welds on both sides. Metal decking is positioned above the beam flanges, with specific layout dimensions provided relative to the grid line.
