A structural steel angle supports the edge of a concrete slab against a column flange. A closure angle is placed at the outer edge of the slab. Reinforcing bars are tied within the concrete closure pour, welded to the column with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds. The lower support angle is secured to the column with intermittent fillet welds.
