A stair stringer connects to a steel beam using a supplier-provided connection plate welded to the structural members. A steel beam web stiffener is provided per the general structural notes. A separate detail handles the stair landing connection to accommodate drift displacements. Alternative connection designs proposed by the stair supplier are also acceptable.
