An equipment plate bears on top of a concrete slab over metal deck and connects via a through-bolt passing through the high flute. The through-bolt features a three-inch by three-inch by one-quarter-inch angle below the deck that must engage at least two flutes and extend one-half inch past the outer edge of the flute unless the bolt centerline is within one inch of the flute centerline. Additional anchorage is provided by one-half-inch diameter expansion anchors with a nominal minimum embedment of three and five-eighths inches typical. If the hole diameter exceeds the bolt diameter by one-eighth inch or more, the space is filled with grout. All bolt threads are burred after tightening nuts typical.
