Panel edge nailing details show single row diaphragm nailing with a one-eighth-inch gap maintained between adjacent panel sheets and edge nails staggered in adjacent panel sheets. Non-bearing wall connections at parallel web joists utilize two-by-four blocking on each side of the top plate at every other joist space connected with two sixteen-penny nails at each end to the joist, and two-by blocking at every other joist space with sixteen-penny nails at four inches on center to the top plate. A half-inch clearance is maintained between the parallel web joist bottom chord and the top of the double two-by top plates below.
