A structural steel beam supports precast concrete wall panels meeting at a vertical panel joint centered on the beam centerline. A half-inch thick steel plate spanning one foot eight inches by the beam depth plus four inches is anchored to each panel with nine three-quarter-inch diameter welded stud anchors at seven-inch gauge typical on each side of the panel. The connection details the alignment of the panel joint relative to the structural grid and beam centerline.
