A wide-flange beam or channel frames into an HSS column using a bolted connection with the number and size of bolts sized per plan. A cap plate is located at the top of the HSS column. A one-quarter inch fillet weld attaches the connection plate to the HSS column. Additional weld symbols indicate top and bottom welding requirements.
