Reinforcing bars lap splice together with a minimum lap length of twelve bar diameters or twelve inches, whichever is greater, alongside a one-and-one-half-inch minimum clearance dimension. The overlap is configured as a Class A lap splice for structural concrete continuity. Parallel reinforcing bars maintain bar diameter spacing and clear cover requirements.
