This assembly features a wide flange beam supported by a steel beam seat embed plate anchored into a concrete masonry unit wall. The beam includes stiffener plates on each side of the web, as detailed in reference 13/S5.3. The beam seat pocket is filled with fluid non-shrink grout, requiring formwork on all sides to ensure the space is completely filled. The surrounding masonry wall is solid grouted as indicated on the structural plans.
