A concrete housekeeping pad is anchored to an existing slab on grade using number three dowels with standard ninety-degree hooks spaced at twelve inches on center at the perimeter and twenty-four inches on center each way at the interior. The pad has a typical thickness of four inches minimum to six inches maximum and features a three-quarter-inch chamfer at vertical corners and a half-inch radius at horizontal edges. Reinforcing within the pad consists of number three bars at twelve inches on center each way with three-quarter-inch typical clearance. Dowels are installed by drilling half-inch diameter by four-inch deep holes, cleaning them, and setting with epoxy.
