Concrete pier reinforcement requires installing three sets of ties within the top five inches of all piers unless noted otherwise. Horizontal concrete wall reinforcing runs continuous through the pier when the pier is poured monolithically with the concrete wall. Additional requirements are specified in the general structural notes.
