A cold-formed steel beam is anchored adjacent to a concrete slab with a typical one-half-inch maximum gap and fastened using four powder-actuated fasteners with three-quarter-inch concrete embedment. The cold-formed steel beam section utilizes T300-54 framing connected with three number 10 screws in each leg. Top and bottom welds or connections are specified at three-thirty-seconds with one to twelve spacing.
