A hollow structural section beam frames into a hollow structural section member using structural angles connected to each side. Erection bolts secure the assembly during installation before final welding is completed. A three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld with one-and-one-half-inch returns at the top and bottom secures the connection. A cap plate is provided per standard details.
