A concrete sump pit recessed below the slab on grade features eight-inch typical concrete walls and base reinforced with four number four bars each way. The pit opening is framed with a one-and-a-half by one-and-a-half by three-sixteenths angle embedded with two half-inch diameter by three-inch studs on all four sides. A W-nineteen-fourteen one-and-a-quarter by one-eighth galvanized grating sits flush within the frame opening unless noted otherwise.
