A wood post is anchored to a concrete slab using a sill plate and Simpson A35 framing anchors positioned at each side and up to six inches maximum at end posts. The upper end of the wood post connects to continuous double top plates with Simpson A35 framing anchors on both sides. A wood beam frames into the post assembly supported by a Simpson HW hanger. Double top plates are spliced together and tied with framing hardware as specified in the construction documents.
