Hanger and brace wires require specific end turns to secure suspended ceiling and structural components. The hanger wire configuration incorporates three turns in three inches typically at each end. The brace or hanger wire configuration incorporates four turns in one and a half inches typically at each end. Structural steel members connected to these assemblies must not be less than three-sixteenths of an inch thick. Powder-actuated fasteners must be verified as excluded from the protected zone of any steel member per ANSI/AISC 341-10.
