This seismic stair landing connection accommodates induced displacements from building seismic drifts through a sliding stair stringer interface. The stair stringer rests on a hollow structural section situated between stringers, featuring a pin centered in the hollow structural section by the stair supplier. An angle with a slotted hole is positioned flush with the top of the concrete, anchored by two deformed bar anchors. The concrete slab over the metal floor deck bears on an embed plate with headed stud anchors and a thick Teflon pad. A steel beam supports the embedded assembly, complete with web stiffeners per general structural notes.
