A hollow structural section beam with standard holes connects to a supporting member using three-eighths-inch stiffener plates on each side of the beam web. The assembly is secured with two three-quarter-inch A325N bolts in standard holes with clips sized as required. Five-sixteenth-inch typical fillet welds attach the connection plates to the supporting member flange.
